How to use this chart

Find every player in the offer, add the values on each side. A gap within 4% is a fair trade; anything beyond ~15% is a clear win or loss. Trades that package two mid players for one stud usually look close on the chart — the chart prices production, you still decide whether depth or a spike player fits your roster.

trade edge % = (value received − value given) / max(value given, value received) × 100

Prefer not to add it up by hand? The fantasy football trade analyzer builds both sides of the deal and scores it for you — with dynasty mode and rookie picks included.

Why positions are priced differently

Trade value is about scarcity, not fantasy points. Twelve quarterbacks start every week in a one-QB league, so the drop from QB1 to QB12 is gentle and quarterbacks trade cheap. Only one or two elite tight ends produce like real receivers, so the top tight ends carry a premium over the TE10 that raw points never show. Running backs get hurt and share backfields, which makes a true three-down RB1 the scarcest asset in fantasy — that is why the top of the RB board prices highest.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a fantasy football trade value chart?

A positional scale that prices players so any trade can be evaluated by adding both sides. This chart is calibrated for 2026 redraft (one-QB, PPR) leagues — it answers 'is this offer fair?' in one line of arithmetic.

How do I use it?

Look up each player in the deal, add the values you give and the values you get. Within 4% is fair; bigger gaps mean one side is winning. The interactive version does this automatically in the trade analyzer.

Do the values change during the season?

Yes — injuries, breakouts and role changes move the boards weekly. This chart reflects the October 2026 consensus and is refreshed periodically; always sanity-check a deal against the latest news before accepting.

Why is the top quarterback worth less than the top running back?

In one-QB leagues, twelve-plus starters each week makes quarterback the deepest position, so the gap between QB1 and QB12 is small compared to the drop from RB1 to RB12. Scarcity, not raw points, sets trade value.

Does this work for half-PPR or standard?

Close enough for negotiation: discount tight ends about 10% and receivers about 5% in standard leagues. The interactive analyzer has a format selector that applies these adjustments for you.
